Basis for preparation

At TenCate Protective Fabrics, we integrate environmental, social, and governance (ESG) considerations into how we operate and make decisions. This website provides an overview of how we approach ESG reporting and the steps we take to better understand and manage our impact.

As a global organization, we operate across regions with different regulatory requirements and industry standards. Within each location, we work to meet these local expectations while maintaining a consistent, overarching approach to ESG across our operations. This allows us to stay aligned as a company while adapting to the specific conditions in which we operate.

We focus on the topics where our operations have the most direct influence. That includes identifying where we can reduce environmental impact, support responsible business practices, and improve transparency for our stakeholders. Our approach is practical: we assess, implement, and refine over time as new information becomes available.

Sustainability reporting

TenCate Protective Fabrics aligns its ESG disclosures with established reporting frameworks. For this website, we have prepared our disclosures in alignment with the Voluntary Sustainability Reporting Standard for small and medium-sized enterprises (VSME Standard), developed by the European Financial Reporting Advisory Group (EFRAG).

The VSME Standard provides a structured and proportionate framework to address increasing requests for sustainability-related information. We report on relevant data points from both the Basic and Comprehensive modules to ensure a consistent and transparent overview of our activities.

As this reporting is conducted on a voluntary basis, we apply internal review processes to support the accuracy and consistency of the information presented.
