Management Approach

Scope

At TenCate Protective Fabrics, the health, safety, and well-being of our employees are fundamental to how we operate. We take a global, structured approach to workplace safety, focused on reducing OSHA recordables and strengthening long-term performance across all locations.

Policies and Programs

Our approach is centered on building a shared safety culture supported by global programs. Safety Committees and Safety Observation initiatives create consistent ways for employees to identify risks, report unsafe conditions, and contribute to preventive actions. These programs help shift safety from a reactive process to a proactive, organization-wide effort.

We reinforce this approach through ongoing training and transparent communication. Safety performance is shared during quarterly global town halls, ensuring visibility from the Senior Leadership Team through all levels of the organization and reinforcing shared accountability.

In 2023, we introduced the role of Global Safety Manager to support alignment across regions, standardize safety practices, and drive continuous improvement in partnership with local teams.

Through these combined efforts, we continue to strengthen a consistent and accountable safety culture across TenCate Protective Fabrics.

Targets & Metrics

Target

Ensure a safe and healthy working environment for all employees, contractors, and visitors by proactively managing risks and continuously improving performance.

Our goal is zero incidents and zero harm, guided by global industry best practices. We take continuous year-on-year steps toward this ambition, adapting to operational challenges and changing conditions.
